Archer Tab or Finger Tab

It's quite painful to the bare fingers to release the bow string. I saw a video on graspr.com in which the instructor used a Finger tab or Archer tab which is a simple piece of leather (perhaps a bit thick) which comes in between the fingers and the bow string. I think it will reduce the pressure, reduce grazing and thus will relieve finger pain. So this is the checklist of items to be prepared for archery practice:

  1. Bow arm guard (also called a bracer; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bracer)
  2. Quiver
  3. A good target which can be hung from a horizontal pole and which will stop the arrow before its vanes reach the target plane
  4. Archer Tab (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finger_tab)
